Mission Statement

Welcome to Pagans Social. We aim to be a place where members are free to express themselves, and where resources for the Pagan Community can easily be found.

Neutrality

Pagans Social remains a neutral spaces for discussion on all topics Pagan. Adherents of all Pagan Paths that follow a positive code of ethics (The Wiccan Rede, The Nine Virtues, etc.) are welcome here. However, bigotry and harassment have no place here.

Advertisement Free

Pagans Social will never place advertisements on our pages. We do not, and will not, endorse vendors or products. Members may post links or lists of vendors or products, but these are not endorsed in any way by Pagans Social. We do not use subscriptions or any other fees to use our services. Donations are accepted and appreciated, but we will never directly ask or post for such.

Global Community

We recognize that Paganism exists worldwide. We do honor to this by creating a space that exists for the healthy interaction of many different Paths. As such, our guidelines do their best to encompass this approach to ethical behavior.

The Paths are many and varied, oh seekers of wisdom. We at Pagans Social are hopeful that the guidelines found on this page are broad enough to reflect the many and varied communities that may call this space home, while still allowing those communities to express their own moral codes and ethics.

Moral and Ethical Code

We at Pagans Social believe that to build a good community, certain factors must exist. To that end, we dedicate this site to:

Truth and Good Values

Everyone should be free to live their life as determined by their beliefs. We encourage everyone to determine how much to interact with community to the degree with which they feel comfortable. Truth is an important underpinning for any community to flourish, and to allow it to operate from a set of firm core values. Treat others kindly, and receive kindness in return.

Civil Liberty

In any age where this feels often overlooked, civil liberty and the protection of personal rights and freedoms become paramount. Conflict arises when the aims of two parties are not just for their positions to be heard, but for the positions of their opponents to be neutralized or destroyed. Our goals are to preserve unique values across multiple Paths, while also promoting healthy interactions between competing ideas.

Expressive Freedom

Pagans Social will not remove any content that falls within its posting guidelines. While we may not always agree with what is posted, and may make comments and rebuttals to content that may be offensive or misleading, we will uphold the values for the freedom of expression, and oppose all attempts at censoring opinions. Articles, forums topics, blogs, and most content on Pagans Social offers members ways to get in direct contact with content authors, whether through commenting or by sending a direct message to that content creator.

Honesty and Openness

Pagans Social aims to open in all of our actions. We will provide as much information as various situations which require staff to step in to take action as we can due to confidentiality or circumstance allows. We put value in the trust of our community, and ask that members respect the integrity of the volunteer staff team.
